Does anyone have the "whole caboodle" from www.carseatcanopy.com?  I have one of those discount codes and I was interested in getting the "whole caboodle" in one of the feminine motifs since we have a plain gray carseat that we used with our son.  I am mainly curious about the fit of the slip cover.  The website says that it doesn't fit all makes/models of carseats, but doesn't have a list of the seats that it DOES fit.  I've emailed them but haven't received a response.  Does anyone know from experience if it would fit a Baby Trend carseat?  I am hesitant to purchase it without knowing if it fits since they are non-returnable/refundable.  Thanks!

    The only thing about the whole caboodle that's either recommended or approved of by either the manufacturer of your car seat company or car seat techs is the cover that ties to the handle. The slip cover is a safety hazard and will void the warranty on your car seat. If you're interested in getting a different cover for your car seat, contact Baby Trend and get a replacement cover.

    I wouldn't purchase as its not safe for baby as the pp said. I did however purchase the canopy that velcros to the handle since I had the free canopy coupon code. I haven't used it yet but it looks very warm and good quality.

    I guess I'm just slow...I don't understand how the slip cover is a hazard.  Can you explain or point me to some guidelines on this?

    The slip cover is not safe because it is not tested with the seat. The covers from that website are not made to the manufacturers standards. Every car seat is different and these aren't made to fit each of the different car seats. These covers void the warranty so if you were in a crash and something happened to your child insurance is most likely going to not cover any of the injury costs since you weren't using the car seat properly. Not to mention most states are proper use states and by purchasing one of those covers you are no longer using the seat properly because you have altered it and that is illegal.
