Cost of Vaccs!

On Thursday L was scheduled for measles and rubella which are free, and over the phone they suggested we do chicken pox at the same time which I agreed to because she'll be in day care for the month of November instead of at her grandparents'. When we arrived at the doctor's office the nurse said oh, why don't we throw in mumps as well? I usually don't like her to get more than 2 at a time but I gave in for the above reason. Now, in the past I've paid 20 bucks max for non standard vaccs but I walked out of there 180 dollars poorer! I didn't even have enough in my wallet and had to run to the ATM.
Of course I'll pay what it takes to keep L healthy, but I'm miffed that they didn't tell me the price when suggesting them to me. It completely wiped out our grocery money till next pay day. I already have issues with this pedi's reception staff and I think this was the final straw.
Anyway, is 90 standard for these things? I know rotavirus was over 100 which is why we chose not to get it. This is after insurance, BTW, or rather they're not covered.

Ouch. We pay a $20 co-pay of all dr appts and anything done during those appts is covered by insurance. We didn't pay per vac or for the vacs, we just paid our co-pay.

This! Why are you paying per vaccination? I'm confused.
We pay out of pocket for anything that is not considered "needed" such as Flu shots or sick vists. A sick visit is 80 dollars and the flu shot was 15

Yes, us too. It really depends on your insurance and Dr office. I remember having a PPO insurance at one time and everything was so expensive, including the monthly premium. Now we have an HMO plan and everything is covered minus standard co-pays.
I thought so but apparently in Japan it doesn't, no idea why.
All immunizations are covered under my health care plan, including flu and allergy shots. LO's well baby check ups are free, as is my annual appt. If I take LO in for a sick appt the co-pay is $20.
If you have to pay things out of pocket, have you looked into a health care FSA?
