West Shore OB/GYN Recs

Just wondering if anyone can recommend an OB/GYN on the West Shore? I moved to Carlisle from Chambersburg over 2 years ago and would like to find a provider closer to home.

I attempted to call Partners In Women's Health to get on their books in case our TTC efforts are successful prior to my annual being due in May, but the receptionist somehow thought I was calling for an infertility consult.  I've also read mixed reviews on here about their practice.

I had 2 other women I know recommend Women First, but saw they get mixed reviews as well.

My husband's co-worker recommended Woodward & Associates, but that's a good 30 miles from our home.

I appreciate any information anyone may be able to provide, but am also wondering if I should just wait until it happens to actually get on their books and have my records transferred. We just like to plan ahead and have our ducks in a row.

    Try Center for Women's Health in Camp Hill. (717) 763-9880.

    The Center for Women's Health is right accross from Holy Spirit Hospital. Midwives deliver the babies unless there are complications, which then, of course, a doctor has to step in.  The only downside: if you are looking for birth control after baby, they will not provide it, due to their affiliation with the Catholic HSP.   

    I'm pregnant with my first after 3 years of trying. We travelled all the way down to Frederick, MD from Harrisburg, somtimes daily, to conceive this baby!

    Thanks for the recommendation...I will check them out! Congrats to you! That's quite a hike...may I ask if you were going to Shady Grove?

    Yes. We went to Shady Grove. My DH and I ran into a high school buddy of his who had used Shady Grove too. They have a very high success rate.

    I love Center for Women's Health they truly are very great at that practice and much better than Partners for Women's health.  They really screwed with me, but I won't get into it.  I went to Center for Women's Health and have nothing but good things to say about them.  They were great at delivering Jacob and plus are so nice.  The staff is friendly and they treat you very well.
