Seriously, he was supposed to come with LO for lunch today at 11. he did call and ask if they could come later so that I could just take LO home (leaving early today) and he could do some errands-fine. We said 1pm...it is 1:40 and he called to say they were just leaving. Seriously? I packed her diaper bag, laid out clothes and brought the paperwork we needed for the bank errand we need to do together last night. You had to what, get LO dressed and fed and you can't manage to be on time? God help him when he does show up. I am hungry and PO'ed that on my early day I have to hang out at work longer.
Re: WTH DH, why can't you be on time?
Wait.....are we with the same man?!?!?!
My SO is always late. He will honestly be late to his own funeral when the time comes.
The day of Gator's birthday, SO had a few jobs. He needed to clean her high chair, keep Gator alive, made sure she had a nap, and make sure he was showered and ready by 12.....so I could race home and get myself ready and he can help me get Gator ready, and we could be back at the place for family pictures at 1:30.
I got a text from him at 12:30 saying he was getting in the shower. I got home, he was still showering (we have one bathroom). So I washed my hair in the sink, threw on some make up, ran around the house packing Gator's bag. He gets out of the shower and slowly gets ready. I let the photographer know we are running late. I wake Gator up, get her ready, ask if he cleaned the high chair "no...I will do that right now", I pass Gator off to our friends daughter, tell him to hurry up, race out to pick up the cake, and I get to the place at 1:30. Photographer gets there, people start showing up for the party (it was still 1:30, party was supposed to start at 2!). Finally SO shows up at 1:45.
I have become one of those Un-kept mothers, not because I am lazy, but because I am too busy getting Gator ready to go places and waiting for the bathroom....that SO gets all metro-sexual and I have to wash my hair in the sink and throw it in a messy bun. The one thing I kept telling SO was I just wanted enough time to get ready for the party and want him to be ready on time. But in all of the pictures of Gator's birthday, you will see my hair is thrown into a messy bun because of course he was taking his time getting ready.
I like to pretend that I don't care that over half the time we go out and I look like a slob because he is making us late so my hair, makeup, etc....has to suffer. But deep down I totally feel bad about myself.
