Happiness...

We passed our profile books in yesterday to our agency! We are officially "waiting"!

It's funny, while getting ready this morning and thinking about when we are parents, I realized that I have true happiness in my life. We have had a very long journey over the last 3 years, my cancer diagnosis, losing our pregnancy, finding out I can't have children, and months of chemo followed by long hospital stays. At one point, not expected to survive.

As I sit here 2 years cancer free and called a "miracle" by my doctors, I honestly wouldn't have it differently. It has brought me to a place of true happiness, in my marriage, with family and friends, career, and in overall life. It's funny how the worst things that could possibly happen in life sometimes bring the best outcomes in the future if you accept what you can't change in life. We are so blessed.
