rediscovered Sophie

DD got a sophie giraffe for a gift when she was a little baby.  I threw it in the bottom of her toy basket and totally forgot about it until this last weekend.  She was pulling out toys and came across sophie.  The look on her face when she squeezed her for the first time was priceless!!  Now she can't go anywhere without having sophie nearby... LOL!  Is sophie still in anyone else's LO's rotation?

    I've only heard and seen a few babies and toddlers with Sophie... DS doesn't have her, though. We haven't really bought him any toys, hoping we will get a couple for his birthday.

    DS loves Sophie!  Now that the teething has somewhat subsided, he just likes to bang her against everything to hear her squeak.  I already have another Sophie for baby #2.  I had a hard time justifying the cost at first and it does seem like an expensive dog toy at times, but I know too many kids who just love Sophie.

    I actaully just bought Sophie for the first time a couple months ago.  I wasn't going to order her online and I had never seen her in a store until I was at Sam's Club and they had a ton of them.  I figured, what he heck! I was already spending too much on bulk crap, might as well give DD a new toy, She LOVES squeaking her and shaking the jingly stuffed Sophie.

    Heh heh heh.  Oh, I've used that logic before!  

    But speaking of Sophie....  No, DD has never had much interest in Sophie.  :(  Which is too bad because I adore Sophie.  Oh well.  But hearing that other LOs are still interested / reinterested in Sophie at this age gives me hope that maybe DD will like her yet!

    Yes!!! DS loved her from months 3-7ish, but when he started moving around and playing with bigger toys, Sophie got tossed in the toy chest. Well, about a week ago, we were taking a 2 hour car ride so I grabbed a couple small toys, including Sophie, and when I handed her to him, his face lit up like he found his long lost friend. He was gently touching her ears and hoofs to see if she was real. It was the cutest thing. Sadly she doesn't sqeak anymore. Someone told me that they always clean Sophie by putting her in the dishwasher. Well I tried, and it ruined her squeaker. Crying
