DS just turned 9 months old today and he's still not crawling. He'll do the army crawl and get all around the place doing that, but no real crawling yet. Does anyone else have a baby that isn't crawling yet?
I'm not worried about him not crawling, but it just seems like everyone's babies on here are crawling. :
Ana has been crawling for a little bit - but I have some other mama friends (Dec mamas bc I was due in Dec) that have little ones that just started crawling this past week.
I dont think you have anything to worry about - also if there was a problem your pedi would probably say something. And who knows - maybe youll have a baby that doesnt crawl and goes straight to walking.
My DD did not crawl until 8m3w, so your DS is not behind by any means. Maybe it feels that way since your DS is probably the youngest on this board. Like PPs said, many babies skip crawling all together.
DS doesn't do full hands and knees crawling. He prefers army crawling. We have hard wood flooring, so it's easier for him to get around that way than traditional crawling. I'm not concerned about it.
Mine isn't crawling yet either, she just turned 9 months Saturday. She looks like she might be interested in trying based on the way she leans forward from sitting. She does want to stand more though. She flaps her arms when sitting in her excitement for one of us to hold our hands out to her so she can pull up.
We have an exclusive army crawler here as well. Just yesterday he started on his hands and knees, but give up quickly because he gets around much faster belly surfing.
Re: Baby not crawling anyone?
My DD will crawl for a couple of steps and then that's it. She much rather "walk". My back is KILLING me :P

Mine army crawls, still not pulling up to standing and sometimes he scoots on his butt! lol
This is how it is at our house. DD will get on her hands and knees, get mad, army crawl, then cry out for one of us to help her.
