Gift for 2nd grader?

Good morning,

I'm looking for some gift suggestions for a 7-year old boy, whose birthday is this month.  I have no idea what to buy!  He lives in CA.

    Legos, beyblades, science experiment kits, model-building type toys, etc.
    High School English teacher and mom of 2 kids:

    DD, born 9/06/00 -- 12th grade
    DS, born 8/25/04 -- 7th grade

    Thank you.  I bought him an Eyewitness Kit:  Sharks and a book about Sea Creatures.  Hopefully it goes over well.
