So sorry to be a pw about the feeding...it's just so helpful to read your responses and come up with new strategies to try. So after I was sent home with new formula I didn't want to try....Raylan hated it! That confirmed my thoughts that giving him more formula when I had all this perfectly good BM in the ridge was not the answer. So now we are exploring the possibility that he is eating more than he needs. If he wakes up acting hungry but fusses at the bottle then I try his paci instead and hold him....so far (as of yesterday afternoon) this has been working. He will go back to sleep normally for at least an hr, then wake up and take a BM bottle perfectly. So I think he had been waking up with other issues (pooping, gas, wanting snuggles) and he would just act hungry because he wanted to suck. Who knows, it seems like we figure one thing out something else starts happening...but for now, maybe we figured it out? *knocks on wood*

Re: Ignoring the pedi
I'm glad things are a bit better!
DS has an overwhelming need to suck. That's actually pretty common with colic and reflux babies (he's both). Pacifiers were very helpful for this. He's still on pacifiers now (at 15m), but those days are numbered. The oral fixation stage ends around 18m, so we're shooting to wean from them about then.

I am glad that you are finding something that is working! I hope it sticks for your guys.
I just wanted to provide some support and say hang in there. It is so difficult and frustrating when you can't figure out what is wrong when it comes to feeding your baby. The first 2 months with L we really struggled finding a formula/amount/time/reflux meds/ etc. that would work for her. It will get better and you will find your routine, I promise!!
