DH and I like different names like most people, and we both having been geeks and worried in general about teasing have turned down many opinions or suggestions from friends and family. However, lately we have been stuck because some of the options we really liked unwelcome comments have sort of made us leery...So I figured I would ask you nice ladies for some welcome comments and thoughts.
For Girl:
1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse)
3. Arianna Marie
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas
2. Quinn James
3. Nathaniel Allan
Please let me know what you think positive or negative I will take the inputs happily, I just want whats best for my baby.
Re: Stuck on the Difference
Other than the you-neek spellings, I honestly don't see what's overly weird about your name list.
None of them are exactly common, but they're not out there weird either. Other than Nylynn..I'm not sure about where that comes from.
The thing about names is everyone has an opinion. My two kids have fairly simple, spelled right, normal names and still people find stuff to say about the names. If you don't want to know, don't ask and don't share until the kid is out.
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse)- Very pretty, I love Alice. Alyse to me looks like you want it pronounced like Elise, so I wouldn't change it.
3. Arianna Marie- Nice name, but I like Alice more.
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas- Don't like this spelling. I would spell it Cade- maybe Kade- but you don't need the extra 'i'.
2. Quinn James- like a lot
3. Nathaniel Allan- like a lot
The only one I really dislike is Nylynn. My favourites are Alice and Quinn.
For Girl:
1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May- NMS I wouldn't pronounce it the way you have.
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse) Alice is perfect just like this. I love Alice!
3. Arianna Marie- Also a great name!
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas- NMS.
2. Quinn James- I associate this name with females but it still is a great name
3. Nathaniel Allan- My favorite of these three!

1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May: I agree that this will not be pronounced the way you want it to be. And the Ys seem excessive.
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse): Alice is lovely. No need to fiddle with the spelling. Alyse would make me think Elise, not Alice.
3. Arianna Marie: Unobjectionable. I prefer Alice.
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas: Kaide seems trendy, Thomas is nice.
2. Quinn James: Perfectly nice.
3. Nathaniel Allan: Solid.
Baby Name Popularity by State
For Girl:
1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May- don't like it at all and that isn't how I'd pronounce it first reading it.
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse)- Love Alice Rae. Alyse= a-lease pronunciation to me.
3. Arianna Marie - okay
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas- horrible spelling, prefer Cade.
2. Quinn James- not a fan of Quinn. James is great.
3. Nathaniel Allan- very nice!
For Girl:
1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May- Not a fan. I would pronouce this NY-Lin.
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse) - It's okay. But stick with Alice. To me, Alyse sounds like Uh-Leese.
3. Arianna Marie- Love, love love it!
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas- Not a fan.
2. Quinn James- It's okay.
3. Nathaniel Allan- I love Nathaniel, Allan is alright. I think Nathaniel James would flow nicely.
Regarding Alice/Alyse: how do you plan to pronounce it, AL-ISS or A-LEECE?
If it's the former, I would spell it Alice. If it's the latter, I like the spelling Alise, or possibly even Elise.
Alice and Arianna are not really my style, but either name is ok. I would vote that you avoid Nylynn.
For a boys name, I would pick Nathaniel Allan (consider the spelling Alan instead?) but I actually prefer Nathaniel Thomas or Nathaniel James.
I would avoid Quinn because it's become a unisex name, which I dislike. I would vote that you avoid Kaide.
1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May If you have to explain the pronunciation that's not a good sign, IMO.
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse) My favorite, please don't misspell it.
3. Arianna Marie Okay, I just have a neg association with the FN.
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas Strongly dislike Kaide, Thomas is nice
2. Quinn James Nice
3. Nathaniel Allan My favorite. We have this with the NN Nate on our list. I know a Nathaniel who goes by the NN Than if you want something different/underused.
This.
The excessive y's in Nylynn make me lol.
1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May: Too many "y's" and NMS
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse): Very pretty! Prefer Alice.
3. Arianna Marie: Pretty!
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas: NMS
2. Quinn James: Nice
3. Nathaniel Allan: My favorite! Very handsome!

For Girl:
1. Nylynn (Nee-lynn) May - I don't like this, I would pronounce it differently than what you're suggesting. I would use the beginning sound like in the word nylon but with a -lynn ending if that makes any sense.
2. Alice Rae (perhaps spelling alice as Alyse) - spelling Alice Alyse doesn't make it different. Alice is a classic name that deserves to keep it's traditional spelling.
3. Arianna Marie - my favorite on your list but I prefer just Aria.
For Boys:
1. Kaide Thomas - I don't like this at all
2. Quinn James - It's NMS but I don't dislike it either, it's just used on a LOT of girls
3. Nathaniel Allan - I like Nathaniel NN Nate
I really don't like Nylynn. It actually hurts my eyes. The y's are just too much. Plus, I think of nylons.. pantyhose. Ick.
Alice and Arianna are ok. Alyse looks like Elise. If you want it to be pronounced Alice, then just spell it that way.
Not a fan of Kaide. Quinn and Nathaniel are ok, just not my style, but perfectly good names.

I love your 2nd and 3rd choices for both girl and boy names. I think Nylynn will be mispronounced Nie-Lynn because of the spelling and I don't know how to pronounce Kaide... Kade?
