What I've always heard is that, the "dough" dosn't contain any raw ingredients. Otherwise could they serve it without the raw and undercooked foods statement?
Plus even if there is some egg, think about the size of the chunks tiny. Less egg and less risk than eating a over-easy fried egg. As for the tubes of ready-go dough. A little won't kill ya, but I wouldn't go and eat the whole tube ( I know easier said than done).
It's funny you should ask this... my husband and I were just talking about this tonight when he brought home a tube of cookie dough from the store. He has a real problem with me eating ANY form of cookie dough, even though I know the ice cream version isn't dangerous. But I appeased him and promised I wouldn't eat it. And then I made him go buy me a smoothie.
For all of you that enjoy eating raw cookie dough, you can make eggless versions that taste wonderful. I was craving cookie dough a few weeks ago and I made an eggless version it was great, especially the next day. use google for recipes.
