Anyone's LO still on just purees and formula?

My girls are 10 months (8 months adjusted since preemies) but are STILL on just 3 meals of purees a day and 4 bottles. My one daughter has tongue thrusting issues and is working w/ a ST to help her w/ feeding which is a big reason we're behind.

Are any of your LO's still on purees? If so when do you plan to start mashed/ solid foods?

Any of you that have started solids what did you go to first from purees that was the easiest for your LO to catch on?

DS loves this concoction my mom makes that she calls banana mush. She mashes up a banana, then mixes in some rice cereal so it gets a little chunky. He chows down on it, but it was easy for him to eat when we first started solids. He also really likes mashed avocado and mashed potatoes.

My kid acts like I'm murdering him and gags and spits up if I feed him something even remotely chunky. We've been trying for a month and a half and it's not getting better. I can't tell if its the flavor or the texture but I lean toward the texture. He has no desire to put anything in his mouth either so there is no self feeding either. I'm at a loss considering my first son was all about real food. I assume he'll get interested one day.

My DD is almost 1 year and still getting purees and formula, but she also has a swallowing dysfunction. She has been doing really well and has both her follow-up appointments (swallow study and feeding clinic) next week. Hopefully we will be cleared for table food.
