School Success!

Good Morning ladies!

 DH wrote a letter to SS school (which started 6 Aug) and included ten self addressed envelopes. He hasnt heard from the school since and was going to call today to try and figure out what the problem was. Last year we also received no notices regarding SS progress. Well yesterday DH received SS quarterly report card in the mail. FINALLY the school is cooperating! I think it has to do with walking into SS school office during our last visit with SS.

SS lowest grade is a 93/100 and we couldnt be more excited! DH hasnt received any other documentation he has requested (school pics included) but at least the progress report is a point in the right direction!

    Thats great news.  I'm genuinely happy for your DH.

    I never realised how frustrating the whole process was until I experienced it myself.

    Last Friday night I text SS soccer coach to find out that time soccer was at on Saturday morning. It was the first game back for SS.

    Get this - he sent the details to BM and she forwarded them to me.  I was furious!

    He didn't even acknowledge my text.  DH took SS to soccer but if I had I think I would have said something to him. Azz.

    Anyhow good for DH and I hope they keep coming.  How frustrating to not be acknowledged or get replies to requests.

    Well done SS on his achievements!

    It blows my mind that schools will flat out refuse to acknowledge a parent! I'm glad you guys got the progress report, but keep fighting for everything else - school pics, information about upcoming events, etc. GL!

    I dont even know for sure if they blew us off or not bc the person who signed the delivery confirmation notice no longer works at the school. I hope it was a simple "mistake" instead of someone being vengeful. SS goes to a very small private school and they all know BM. When we went to visit the school I came in with DH and one teacher even said she was shocked how nice I was bc "BM has been telling us awful things about you for years." Thats the reason I believe there may have been an underlying reason for DHs requests being ignored.

    We have issues with the teachers at the kids schools only because BM makes them her BFFs  because most of the times BM has requested the same teacher that SD had for each of the boys as they get to each grade level. A few have came to the kid's games and completely ignored us even though we've met them previously. Luckily for us, when it comes to grades we have online access to those. One good thing is that despite their "loyalty" to BM if both sides are present, whenever DH ever emails them with a question they are still pretty good about getting back to us

    This was an idiotic thing for teacher to say.  Even if it's true, what did she hope to accomplish by bringing that to your attention?  Way to not help the situation.  Keep pursuing ALL the information.
