Ours was alright... not too many tricker treaters though... maybe 30... tops...
but none the less, I still love this time of year, and will continue to put my stuff up. I set up a cemetery with grave stones, spider webs, bones and gate it off. Oh, and my 7ft tall Grim Reaper. I had one kid say that a couple years ago my house scared the crap outta him... well, that said to me that I need to kick it up a notch and get more new stuff... I think next year, since everyone knows my reaper, I am gong to make my H a reaper costume and stand there like he is fake, then tap shoulders and what not...
Re: How was everyone's Halloween festivities?
Pretty good actually! We weren't expecting many kids because it was cold and rainy here. We probably got close to 40 kids which made DH happy because he got to eat the leftover candy :P . Then we put LO down and sat up watching Nightmare Before Christmas eating popcorn. It was really fun for our "first halloween".
OMG i love that movie!!! I love the Pumpkin Song!!!

Heh, that sounds so awesome.
I decorated only a little but I took DS out just for about an hour because my neighbors were excited to see him in a costume. He had a little Batman costume and even got a few pieces of candy which DH happily ate for him lol.
so sorry to hear that...and I hope you get power back soon! but thats awesome that they rescheduled it!!!
15 years ago we had a huge ice storm that cancelled Halloween here, and they didn't do anything about it... just let it be...
