teething baby, snoring husband

HI ladies, my husband is a snorer. We have been sleeping in separate rooms for the last 8 months and from time to time make attempts to sleep in our bedroom together. After poking and prodding, it ends with me moving into another bedroom at some point in the night. I tell him about this, but he doesn't seem motivated to fix it. Baby is up 2x usually - teething. I desperately need my sleep.

So, it is 1:40 am. Baby is sleeping. Husband is sleeping. And I'm awake!! What now?? Ugh!!

  • The title of this made me LOL. Girrrrl I am in the same boat as you. My hubby & I have been in seperate rooms for a long time know because his snoring to ridiculous. When Savannah was a newborn and sleeping in my room I could not have him in there because it's so loud she wouldn't be able to sleep. Sometimes when I check on her in the middle of the night I can hear his butt from the hallway with his door closed. lol

I hounded his butt for a long time to get a sleep study. He finally did BUT then he said if he had sleep apnea he would in no way shape or form wear a mask (forgot what it's called) while sleeping. I got so mad like why the heck are you even doing it then. So the person at the sleep study place said he didn't have it and his doctor said he did. Or maybe it was vise versa can't recall now. So needless to say he never did anything about it. He's horrible about going to the doctor. I've bought every brand of nose strips and they do not work for him AT ALL.

So it's not ideal that my hubby sleep in another room. I want him to try to fix this because when Savannah gets older I worry about her seeing us in different rooms. :/

So I can just totally realate. I'm sorry I don't have much for to offer. But this post you made I could of written exactly.

  • I don't know if its an old wives tale or not but they used to sew a pocket on the back of the pj top and put a ping pong ball in it, the idea was that it would stop them from sleeping on their back and snoring..  I always found a set of knuckles in the underside of the ex's ribs made them roll over off their back LOL

I am lucky that mine rarely ever snores and I only snore when I have a cold or am sh*t faced drunk.

Hope you find something that works for you soon.

  • Oh man this happens to me too.  I just finish getting DD back to sleep and go into bed and DH is snoring.  He doesn't snore a lot, but if he gets in the wrong position it happens.  I am mean I guess, cause I just poke him and tell him he's snoring and he changes positions.
