School picture update

BM told DH that she would send him the school picture packet info so he can order his own packet. Technically she did but waited until 9PM the night before picture day to take a picture of the packet listing and text it to DH. We chose a package that costs $34. She asked for us to send payment. DH text back asking what the vendor's name was so he could write a check. She said she wanted cash deposited into her account. I am proud of his response which was "due to past experiences where sending you the  money directly hasnt proved to be successful, I would prefer to send payment directly to the school's photographer."

Last year we asked to purchase one 8x10 picture from her (we missed the opportunity to order ahead of time) and though she said yes and we sent her money she never sent a picture.  

She never responded and I assume she didnt go through with our order. But a few days later she said she paid for the pics herself.

Should DH send her the money NOW or wait until he can confirm his package was ordered? Would it be OK to send her  a message saying if we dont receive pics by X date that the $34 will be deducted from CS? Or is this just too petty to even argue and should we just send her the paymet? suggestions?

    I would pay for the pictures when I get them. Don`t deduct it from child support if she does not send them because I am not sure you can legally do so.
    No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you are the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside.

    I would call the school directly and get the vendor's name. Then call the vendor directly and explain your situation, and see if you can find out if BM actually ordered your package. If she did, I would not pay her until you have the packet in hand. If she did not, I would see if you could order them then, while on the phone with them.

    exactly this.

    picture companys let you order over the phone and on line. DH and I just had a bad experience (my post just a few below yours i believe...) where BM didn't even order her own and tried stealing some of ours when pics were sent home with SD. I called the company and they gave me any info that was listed in our order and told me it was the ONLY order for SD. they were super nice and told me if we didn't get our photos back that she'd make sure she sent new ones directly to us. You can probably ask to have them mailed to your house even. Just call and ask. I'm sure they deal with these things often enough to be helpful and people always order more pics so there shouldn't be a problem sending a new order in if you need to.
