I never thought..

I never in a million years thought that I would one day say, "I wish my period would hurry up". When you want it, it seems to take forever to show up. im ready to get this show on the road and do my FET. When Im not cycling, all I think about is cycling. I am sooooo ready to get started. Question: my dr said to call when I start, so does that mean I will start meds that day? Good luck to the rest of you, hopefully I can join the turkey basters!!

    I think it probably depends on your protocol, but for me, both times I have cycled the day I started my period was the day I started BCP's--so as far as I was concerned, the first day of AF was the first day of a new cycle for me.
    TTC #1 since 2/2011. Me: Age 36. Stage III Endo and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis.
    IUI #1 March: BFN, IUI #2 April: BFN.
    IVF #1: Started stims 7/30--CANCELLED.
    IVF #1.2: Stims start 10/8/12, ER: 10/20/12; 11R/8M/4F, 5DT: 10/25/12, transfer of a 4AA and 3AB Blast. BFP on HPT 10/31/12; Beta #1: (16 DPO) 954! Beta #2: (18 DPO) 1968! First U/S: TWINS!! A/S: TWO BOYS! EDD: 7/13/13

    Crystal, I was totally the same way! I knew with our slim to no shot on our own, so I was like come on Period.

    Your dr. will want to do baseline workup about 2-3 days after 1st day of period. (like day 3). U/s and b/w to make sure ovaries look normal ( no cysts) and levels are normal. They will also want to see how many follicles you have. I started meds like 2 days later.

    I don't know your protocol but my RE told me to call when I started so I could start BCPs on CD3.

    Agreed. Since I barely grow follies during IVF, and never ovulate on my own, I know I will never get pregnant on our own. Where are you in your cycle? Why is it they have us go on BCP at the beginning of cycles?

    Here is how my FET cycles went:

    Baseline u/s on CD3 or CD4, then I started taking prenatals, baby aspirin and dexamethasone nightly. I also started taking Delestrogen injections every 3rd night at that point. That was pretty much the gist of it for about 2 weeks, then I added PIO in every night and Crinone Gel every morning. I took my first HCG shot a few days before ET (and then 2 more times after ET). All in all it was about 20 days after AF to ET.

    Not sure if my protocol is typical or not... GL!

    i know what you mean. i am waiting for my first AF post-m/c so we can try for an FET in December. Hoping we can both make our next treatment cycles asap and that it is successful!!!

    6w u/s 1 bean with h/b of 145 bpm, 8w u/s 187 bpm
    EDD 11/7/14. Please, please, please stick little one!
