  We used Olympia (I think that is the name) from Lowes. The man at the paint counter told me that was the lowest VOC paint they have. When we painted I made sure to keep the window open a little to keep the air flowing and I also took many breaks to step out of the fumes and drank lots of water. You should be fine as long as you keep the house well ventilated during the painting process.

  We used Benjamin Moore "Eco Spec" low VOC paint and it was fine. ?We kept the windows open and we live in an apartment, and I never smelled anything in the next room.

  We use Yolo colorhouse paints and they are 0 VOC (no odor at all).  We've also used American Pride and FreshAire, both low VOC, and there is some odor but not much.  For any type of paint I would recommend opening all windows for as much ventilation as possible but I didn't feel dizzy or ill with the low or 0 VOC paints.

  my mom painted with all 3 of us. And that was in the 80's. We're all fine. So I think you'll be fine. That said: Mom is painting my nursery. I just don't want to. LOL.

  Can I be around it?  We were going to use it to paint the nursery and the top two floors of our house are in desperate need of paint.  Do i need to find a place to stay for about a week or do you think I'll be fine since it's low/no VOC paint?
