I have a secret ingredient to my speghetti sauce. It's called Stella Artois. It's great, I put half a Stella in and drink the other half. The taste of the sauce is amazing. Here is the problem. It's effing hot. Not spicy hot I mean temp hot. Is there something I am not doing that will stop the sauce from being super hot? I am assuming it's the alcohol in the beer that is making it so stinking hot.

Re: People who cook... any tips?
I guess I'm not following...couldn't you just turn your burner to a lower setting? I've never noticed anything like this when I've added wine to sauces. Maybe the evaporation is enhanced by the carbonation in the alcohol?
