Update Don't know who to turn to...

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind me busting in... I'm not sure this is even the right place but I really don't know who else to turn to.

Yesterday I got two very faint BFPs on some wondfos. One at 3:30, the second at 7:00 (7:00 was definitely darker than the 3:30) This morning I took another test with FMU and it was about the same darkness as the 3:30 test. This afternoon I took another, and it was barely there at all... in fact it might be flat out negative and my eyes are just playing tricks on me.

I don't know what to think. I want to remain hopeful that this is my BFP, but I'm so afraid that I might be dealing with a CP.

I really don't even know what kind of support I'm looking for here. I'm just beside myself and don't know what to think. The ladies on TTCAL have been so amazing to me these last few months.... I hate to poke my head on another board looking for support without giving any, but I really don't know who else to talk to.

***Update***

Started bleeding yesterday, which confirms my CP fears. I have an appointment with my OB in just under 2 weeks so hopefully we'll get some answers and a plan to move forward. For now, I just continue to hope I get to join you ladies soon.

Hello!! I am so hoping that you will be pulling up a sticky seat over here! Maybe the changes are just due to the time of test/amount of water you had, etc. Try to stay calm (easier said than done, I know) and take another test with FMU tomorrow. I am praying that you get another BFP!!

Oh hun, I'm sorry you are so scared right now. Is there any way you can call your doctor and have them do some tests to ease your mind. It's possible there could be a problem with the one negative test you took since all the others were positive. I know it's hard but try to step away from the pee sticks until you can see your doctor. My prayers are with you. I hope everything turns out okay and this is your sticky BFP!

I would wait again to test tomorrow with FMU that's good and concentrated. Or if you're really concerned, call your doctor to schedule a beta test.

I had the same problem with wondfos for the my last bfp. If you still don't get a clear answer in the morning, test with FRER or a digi. You'll get a clearer result. Good luck!

i know it's hard to believe, but a line is a line. call your doctor and get some betas. and i have all my fingers and toes and everything crossed that this is your sticky BFP. i'll be lurking to hear!

I would try again with FMU, I know its hard to wait though. Your doctor might do betas but many do not. Sending t&ps that its clear tomorrow!

Darkness of a test line means jack all. Truly. It's about the amount of dye that got laid down on that test strip, not how pregnant you are. Don't drive yourself insane by continuing to pee on things. Call your OB and get repeat betas.

I agree with Petra though I also peed on everything in sight this time. I nearly drove myself crazy but it was a compulsion I couldn't stop. If you get betas drawn it might give you something solid so you don't have to try and figure it out yourself. The hpts really aren't meant/able to show you how your pregnancy is progressing.

1. Only test with FMU. ONLY FMU
2. A line is a line. As long as its still there you are pregnant, no matter the darkness
3. Get betas if you need reassurance or to "just know". BEWARE that betas are a complete mindfluck though. Most women double, some don't. Women who double go on to miscarry, women who have been told the pg was not viable based on betas go on to have healthy pg's. It's a guide, not a rule.

First of all, congratulations!!!

Secondly, I agree with pretty much what everyone else said... use FMU and only FMU and get your betas!!

Then pull up a sticky seat!

So I didn't test this morning... I couldn't stand to see a BFN. Massive temp drop this morning... In fact I committed the cardinal sin of re-temping because the first one came way too quickly (my BBT usually take at least a minute and a half to read (sometimes up to 3 or 4 minutes), the first temp beeped after 30 seconds or so) and it was absurdly low (somewhere around 96.4) AF hasn't shown yet and I don't necessarily feel her coming, but I don't even know what to think is going on with my body anymore.

Considering calling my doctor to see if they can run some blood work this afternoon, but I don't know if I'm even up for that. I'm feeling completely defeated, and crushed. I know I'm not technically out... I just feel so hopeless.

I'm so sorry, I shouldn't be bringing your board down with this crap... I just wanted to give you girls an update... You're always so lovely.

I'm so sorry you had a temp drop this morning but don't give up yet. I would call your doctor and see if he can get you in for betas to see what is going on. That's the only way you will know for sure. Good luck hun and I hope everything is ok.

Thought I'd give you girls an update.

First of all, I can't thank you girls enough... I hoped to get some responses from the recent TTCAL grads who I thought might recognize my name and reach out to help, you're such amazing ladies and I miss you over on TTCAL, but I don't want to see you back there! I'm completely overwhelmed though by those of you who are taking the time to offer support without any previous connection. Thank you thank you thank you!

So I called my Dr. today. I have a really amazing OB/Gyn office and they were super sweet to me. They did offer to take betas today, but I would have to go the hospital on Saturday to get a blood draw to get doubling numbers... and then wait until Monday for the results and as the triage nurse said "I know you... I don't know how well you'd do with the stress of waiting" I love that she knows me so well, I would be a complete basket case waiting until Monday. So I opted out of the Betas, and I won't pee on anything tomorrow either. If I haven't started AF by Saturday, I'll take another test.

She said that if I hadn't gotten a positive test or AF by next Thursday to call her back. She also scheduled me for a "fertility consult" in 2 weeks to discuss options and also get some blood-work. She agreed that it would be worthwhile to check my progesterone and thyroid. I feel 100% better just having a plan.

Still don't have any bleeding though... I had one tiny little spot (really just some discolored CM when I wiped) this afternoon. I'm feeling the tiniest glimmer of hope that I might not be totally out. Thank you for all the T&Ps. Maybe they're helping! (((Super hugs))) to everyone for being so amazing to me!
