Apparently the building the RE's office is in still didn't have power so the RE on-call and the tech were talking to folks in the lobby. Since it's early in my cycle and I tend to respond slowly to meds, she said that I didn't need an ultrasound today and that I could go upstairs (had to walk up 4 flights of stairs) to get drawn for bloodwork by flashlight.
It was an interesting experience, to say the least! Glad I didn't need an ultrasound, or else I would have had to drive an hour away to their main offices!

Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!
