My husband is such a girl ....

So according to when we got positive OPK's ... I should be about 7 days late for my period .... I'm not temping, so it could be off.  Not really the point of this post, though.  So last night I got to thinking .... I may be late .... or I may not have actually O'd yet .... so I should try to get my husband in the mood and see if we could get it on. 

I was like c'mon, let's do it.  We could be making a baby right now.  He actually got mad at me! lol, he wanted to be romanced!  He told me my vagina wasn't just some place to deposit his sperm!  Bless his heart, I love him to pieces, but sometimes I feel like the dude in the relationship.  He's the one that loves to cuddle and the one that likes to be "put in the mood."  I'm the one that's like "let's do this" as I'm ripping off my clothes and jumping on him.

 Anyone else's husband like this?!  This isn't the first time we've had a "disagreement" about the babymaking sex tactics.  Or is mine just really super special??

    It can be like that with my husband and I sometimes. Since getting off the pill, I've been so randy and I'll pounce on him frequently. The last few nights he's asked me where the romance was. I told him probably the same place it was a few months ago when our situation was reversed. He learned his lesson ;)

    Nothing kills a boner faster than a fertility seminar LOL 

     This is a true story!  I guess maybe I'm being a little insensitive ... but I felt like we both signed up for this deal and now I'm getting the lecture!  lol, it was just kind of amusing in the way of the roles were reversed.  Good idea, though, to just not saying anything about the "ovulation" thing!

    I don't discuss the specifics, I just initiate.  One time a few weeks ago where I was trying to get him in the mood and he was focused on work because he was getting ready to go out of town for a week.  I gave up on all my smooth moves, showed him the positive OPK and said, "You know, it's one thing when you're just shooting me down, but it's an entirely different thing when you're wasting a perfectly good egg!!!"  Now we joke about how it's okay to hurt my pride, but don't reject my ovaries man!

    For the most part DH isn't like that, but he surprises me every now and then. He'll be like playing hard to get, then I'll get irritated an its a downward spiral after that. Sometimes I'll suggest our good ole bubble bath and promise to rub his back, he usually perks up for that. :)

    H likes sex. I basically just do my best to get it on as often as possible and not mention if its my FW. No one likes to feel used as another pp said. Romance is good!

    lmao!  I completely hear what you're saying!  I don't want him to be my sperm bank!  I was just saying I'm not like overly romantic ... give me a massage and bubble bath to get me in the mood kinda girl.  I'm more of a touch my nipple and I'm ready to have sex kinda girl!  I was be a little dramatic about it ... but he really wants me to romance him more than just having random sex, O-ing or not.  Sorry if it came out bad!  :)  My bad!!

    We just had a talk about this tonight.  I tried turning it back on him, but it only made him mad.  Guess I need to be a little more sensitive, but it sucks when we know the right time to be having sex right when they don't want to feel used.  

    I'm going to try and be a little more spontaneous even when it isn't our FW and see how it plays out. 

    Spontaneity is good!  I need to do it more, too.

    Well I can understand that.

    I usually don't tell DH when I'm ovulating. For some reason it makes him a but nervous. We both aren't really into the romance thing either...all I have to do is look at my DH a certain way and he is ready lol.

    The first 6 months I didn't even tell dh when I was O'ing and we had decent timing. Then my dr said next 6 months at least eod cd 12-18, so I just tell him drs orders :) this month I'm starting eod on cd 10 though because I O'd on cd14 this month...of course I think we will be staying at my best friends house so we will see if that ends up happening or not. 

    I just try and keep it spontaneous and don't pull out the ttc card unless I have too.

    Apparently I'm alone here, but my husband is significantly more interested in sex during my FW. He rarely initiates (and often turns me down) during the rest of my cycle, but during my FW it's generally at least once a day. Who's using whom now? Stick out tongue

    So here's how MH deals with it... He is allllll about finding out when I'm ovulating. But after the first sexy time of FW, he's like "I don't want to know when you NEED it, just tell me that you want it."

     

    Just walk around in front of him nekid and he'll follow suit. lol

    Mine has been so silly lately, knowing that we're "trying."

    he started saying things like - "ok, just take my deposit." LOL. But he will also say/do cute things - like hold my hand to my belly and say "bam! pregnant!" Or after he'll say, ok are we pregnant now? Is there a baby in there?

    Last week he asked me about how it all works. Question after question after question. Talk about clueless! He was like, how long does it take before we know?

    Although he says/does those things....he is a great sport :) Especially because this cycle it's taking forever to O!

    Last cycle was our first time trying, and my way of initiating sex was throwing a positive OPK test at him and dragging him into the bedroom. Another time, I said "I'm probably fertile. Let's go!" He wasn't a fan of these methods of seducing him, claiming that he just felt like a sperm bank for me to drain. 

    I think I need to work on my romance!
