On our cross country flight now...

There's Internet on the plane.  DD is asleep for now and hopefully she'll stay that way for awhile.  It should be interesting nursing next to the friendly older man next to me :)

  • Good luck.  Hopefully the guy next to you is OK with NIP.  No one has ever said anything to me when I've NIP, but I haven't been in such close proximity a person like you will be.

  • Thanks! He watched me blow up the inflatable nursing pillow I brought so hopefully it won't come as a shock to him :)

Amazingly, DH and I just did a FaceTime video chat so I could show him DD on the plane.  Technology is amazing!

  • It would take a special kind of jerk to expect you to NOT feed your baby on a cross country flight, though! Especially since nursing usually prevents a baby from screaming, which the whole flight will appreciate, I'm sure!

  • Good luck!!  I wouldn't think anyone would mind you feeding your baby on an airplane--especially since the alternative would be a crying baby on an airplane! Smile
  • I managed to feed, change, and play with DD a bit and now she's back to sleep with less than an hour of flying time left!

I'm hoping she sleeps till we get there and I can do her next feed in the airport.  It was just a little awkward trying to feed her in such a small space.  It will be easier to feed her on the return flight since DH will be with us, so I can just steal some if his seat space.
