I have come down with a cold. I am so nervous that I am going to pass my cold onto DD. I know I should still BF and I am washing my hands like crazy (they hurt) and I am trying to wash her hands since she always sticks them in her mouth. I am hoping she does not get it. I hate the thought of her getting sick.
Anyone else sick and LO did not get it?
Re: How not to pass cold to LO
This. Except stomach virus is not airborne and the cold virus is. So on top of that you need to be careful about not breathing, coughing or sneezing into her face. That said, DS and I shared a cold last week and I think the bf really helped. He got over it much more quickly than I did. I squirt a little breast milk up his nose and that helped a lot I think.

This!
Keep nursing!! Your LO is very likely to avoid the cold because of the antibodies in your milk, and if she does get it, it will most likely be much shorter lived then yours. I've nursed both boys through multiple colds, and those have been my experiences.
Hope you feel better soon!
