S/O period after breastfeeding...

DD is almost 8 months old, and I haven't had a visit from Aunt Flo yet. But the last week I've been having cramping... nothing too bad, and I don't notice it if I'm busy around the house, but when I'm relaxing or trying to sleep, it's definitely distracting...

Has anyone had a similar experience? Does it mean that my body is getting revved up to start my cycle again, or... something else? It feels like a loooong PMS to me, but we're entering into the second week of this nonsense now with no end in sight.... thoughts?

    Well, I'm certainly not where you are in your BFing journey but I have had cramping for about a month or so now.  I have sporadic brown tinge when I wipe and I figure my body is gearing up for a period but who knows if it will ever come.  I hope it doesn't!

    No kidding. But I'm just so sick of the cramps!

    I didn't get AF until 11 months PP w/both girls. I only had 2 PP periods between stopping BFing w/DD1 and getting PG w/DD2! 

    It could be ovulation pains or something else.
