In reading the Nicknames post I was trying to think in my head of all the nicknames that we call JB and ended up singing "his song" in my head. I made up a song for him and always sing it. It is now my surefire way to get him to smile for pictures. Anyway did you make up a song for LO? Mine is simple but goes:
"His name is Jameson, His name is Jameson! J-A-M-E-S-O-NNNnnnNNNnnnnNNN!"

Re: Do you have a song for LO?
I sing constantly to Aria. It's usually something made up, about whatever we're doing at the moment. She thinks I'm hilarious. I'm not sure if it's because I am, in fact, the funniest person on earth or because the songs are horribly off-key.
The go-to that gets me 10 seconds of non-crocodile-death-roll time during a diaper change is "toes in the air, toes in the air, looking quite fair with your toes in the air!" ...and the shame of it is that it's to the tune of "pants on the ground".
As for "real" songs for her, "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder will forever be Aria's song to me. I used the lyrics to let my fb friends/family know that we were having a girl... and I'm pretty sure hubs sang it to her in the hospital one night when he thought I was sleeping. (he changed the names to Aria and Lancy though... so sweet) I may have dreamed that... but it's Aria's song either way. The words fit perfectly.

This reminded me... My dad sings to the grandkids "Mary had a little lamb, the nurse was quite surprised" LOL

"Good Morning to You" is the standard when I have to wake him up in the morning. On the changing table, I sing Edelweiss (from Sound of Music), L-O-V-E, The Way You Look Tonight, As Time Goes By, and lots of other oldies. I volunteer with a singing troupe that sings in nursing homes, so I always have a lot of older songs on my mind. Before DS was born, when I'd be singing with the group, he'd always be bouncing and kicking in my belly, so I guess he likes it!
i made up a lil song i sing to him it goes "whos mommys lil baby, mommys lil baby boy? whos mommys lil baby , mommys lil bundle of joy? Elijah Joseph, hes mommys lil baby, Elijah Joseph, hes mommys lil boy!" the first time dh heard it, he was all OMG, lol i told him WHATEVER!!!!!
as for real songs though his song for us will always be Foo Fighters "Miracle" and also the song "Blue Velvet" because our first night home, it was just the 3 of us as a new lil family in our house and dh had it on the music channel on tv, and he grabbed my hand as he was holding ds and we danced that song together as a lil family, i will always always ALWAYS remember that moment.
