Have we already discussed this?
Will LO be trick or treating this year or just people watching?
Last year o dressed up and walked around the neighborhood but did not trick or treat. I don't think I'll be letting him have a bunch of candy but if he shows interest I might show him how to trick or treat just at 1 or 2 houses.
We will walk up and down our street just to say hi to neighbors and have Ava dress up. She's so shy that I doubt she will actually go up to any houses. Then we will hang at home and pass out candy. We get a TON of trick or treaters because we are the closest suburb to the city and lots of parents drive their kids to our town because it's safer than trick or treating in the city.
DH wants to take G ToTing but I think hes too young. Its not like the candys for him either. I might just visit my parents and inlaws. Theres also something going down at the mall so might stop by there as well.
I haven't really decided. He's actually really scared of going up to new houses - even some of the houses that we go to playgroups at 1-2 times a month. He just gets really shy and freaked out walking up to their doors. So I don't think he would enjoy trick or treating at all this year.
And 6-7pm in our house is just crazy since I'm trying to get both kids down for the night (usually by myself since DH has school). My mom offered to have the boys stay at her house that night and I could just focus on getting the baby to sleep while DS1 helps her pass out candy. But that also just seems like a nightmare since they get a lot of kids in her neighborhood and her dogs (all 4 of them!) go crazy everytime the doorbell rings.
And I don't have a costume for either one of the boys. Mom fail!
We'll be going to visit all the grandparents houses, they all live within 10 mins of eachother. We'll also ToT a few of the neighbors that we know. Nothing too exciting since O still doesn't really get it and it's supposed to be all of 40ish degrees.

That's funny... O is the opposite whenever we take walks he wants to go up to everybody's door. last night we kept telling him "no baby that's not your house we stay on the sidewalk". we were joking about how we are about to change the rules on him. But just for one night!
Last year we just handed out candy, but this year we are going out! I'm so excited. We already took her to downtown ToT last week and she had a blast. She even got some things she could have, like stickers, goldfish crackers, and a meatball from the Italian restaurant lol. She loves collecting stuff in her bag. She learned how to say trick or treat, but was feeling shy last time, so hopefully tomorrow she will come out of her shell and impress some neighbors.

We all had a good time Trick or treating last year. We are going again this year, since I'm still recovering from being in the hospital I may go to a house or 2 but mostly will stay home with J and hand out candy. DH and A plan to go up and down a few streets.
We are going to a shopping center that is outdoors and has a big Halloween party. He will basically trick or treat at all the stores, and wear his costume. We already had three Halloween related functions where he's gotten to wear his costume and he loves it!
This year we will probubly just go to a trick or treat thing my mom's church is doing. Mostly becuase it is inside with the weather here. Otherwise we might go with my niece. She is 8 but the rest of cousins are older so she is excited to have a younger cousin to go with now.
We actually did our TOTing this past weekend. Our town had a big town thing where local business set up booths and passed out candy all along the downtown area street and the local museum (as in a musuem of our town history...boring...) had some activities there. My mom bought him a really small bag, so he got about ten pieces of candy, which I confiscated later. I let him eat a twizzler. He was soooo excited. He put on his costume and shrieked in the mirror for ten minutes and pretended to bark like a dog and pant. When he realized his bag had candy in it, there was more excitement. It was fun and I'm glad I took him. Tomorrow night is a school night, so we'll probably just go to bed as usual.
We are taking C to the mall for their big ToT thing. My BFF, her DH, and their 15 month old are coming too. We took C to a different mall last year and it was just TONS of kids in costume and each store was giving out candy.
Yep, we're going! Our condo is (finally!) doing ToT for the second year. There's only about ten kids or so in our building so it would be really obvious if we didn't go actually. We'll walk around again with C's good buddy whose a few months old so I'm hoping he'll show C the ropes. Can't wait for all of cutie pics! PP, I love N's puppy costume!
I plan on taking the boys to our immediate neighbors' houses- 5 total. Basically just to let them see the boys and remember that we do have kids- LOL. Our neighborhood has no sidewalks and the lots are over 1 acre each- so we tend to stay to ourselves. Our neighboorhood is somewhat isolated too (we are between a forest preserve and commercial property in a unincorporated area)- otherwise I am sure that we would have tons of kids- last year I think we had only 50. At our old house we would have 300 plus if the weather was nice. And yes I counted.
We would have been going to my mom's to gtg w/ my sisters & their kids to ToT around my mom's neighborhood, but since Sandy is the grinch that stole Halloween, we won't be doing anything, I think.
