If you used Wondfos

Normally I wouldnt ask such a silly question but my Wondfo pregnancy tests are driving me crazy.  I am 13 DPIUI and I have taken a pregnancy test since 11DPIUI and I don?t get a positive within the 5 mins but after I go back and double check there is a line. ( maybe a 1 or 2 mins after the 5 min mark) I know its probably an evap line but as I take a test each day I get a negative within the 5 min and when I check after a couple more mins there is a 2nd line but the ? evap? lines keep getting darker each day.  Has anyone had this happen?

Re: If you used Wondfos

  • I don't want to give you false hope, so keep in mind that it probably *is* an evap line - but at 11DPO, I dipped a Wondfo and didn't get a line until just after the 5 min mark, and then it was so faint neither DH nor I believed it. 3 hours later, that line was very faintly pink, but of course at that point I couldn't trust it at all. I held my pee and tested that afternoon with an FRER, and it was positive. Wondfos were still pretty faint for the next couple of days but got progressively darker until there wasn't any question.

What color are your lines? Rule of thumb is that if it's grey, it's an evap, but if there's pink in it, that's a positive (of course, once you get outside the time limit it's not supposed to be reliable anymore). I would definitely be running out to get an FRER to confirm one way or another!

  • I used wondfos. When I wasn't pregnant they would be stark negative and stay that way. When I got my positive I was 11 DPO and I had a faint but clear positive within the 5 min time frame.

I'd get a digital and test tomorrow morning. Also, don't look after the allotted time, it'll just drive you crazy.

also my positives were very dark, but im farther along, so its very possible that its a bit early to get a  strong clear positive:)

  • I would like to chime in, I tested at 9DPO and no one could see the line but me (showed DH and SIL). I looked again about 5 minutes later and the line was darker and definitely there (still not dark at all though). I thought maybe an evap, but it was right where it was supposed to be and pink tinged. I tested in the afternoon and got another faint, faint line that no one could see. I then took a digi out of desperation and it was +. I'm guessing if you checked that quickly after the 5 minutes it is +. Good luck!

  • I took FRER and it was positive but now I'm 2nd guessing if it was my trigger shot. I'm 13dpt.

  • I had the same thing with both Wondfos and the knockoff "Wanfu" strips. They were negative with FMU through 12dpo, then incredibly faint second line FMU 13dpo. I couldn't tell if the line was grey or pink. I used an FRER and low and behold, the test line was nearly as dark as the control line with SMU! I will never trust those cheapies again. I've heard they're very accurate, but out of curiosity I kept checking them (since I figured they were worthless and wanted to see how long it took for one to be positive) and it wasn't until 5 days after my period was due (but never came, because I was pregnant!) that they showed some semblance of a readable positive. Meanwhile, an FRER test line on 14dpo (28 day cycle, ovulating on day 14) was darker than the control line. Just my two cents, but get a more reliable test! Good luck!
  • My Wandfos were plain, clear, solid white when they were negative. On 9 dpo, I had a very faint pink line within the time. As it dried it got a wee bit darker.  I discovered that a good way to identify the pink line was to hold the test against a white sheet of paper.  With white all the way around, the small bit of pink was more obvious.  I haven't had any experience with evap lines (Wandfo or elsewhere).
  • Honestly, I HATED the Wondfo pregnancy tests. I really don't know why people recommend them. I was testing with FRERs and Wondfos. I got clear positives on FRERs by 10 dpo. I didn't get a clear positive on a Wondfo until almost a week later. And the test line was really slow to show up.
