I only have one and it's not great but here goes - About 5 years ago DH and I had just moved across the country and were staying in a rental house. DH was traveling for work a lot so I was at home alone. One night I woke up because I swear I heard footsteps coming down the hallway to our bedroom. The house was all tile so you could hear every step that was made. I would have totally written it off as my imagination or a dream or something except for the fact that my German Shepherd leaped off the bed and started going nuts in the hallway. After I fumbled enough to get the light on and had my phone about to call 911 it stopped and nothing was there. It freaked me out and I didn't sleep well that night.

When I was still living with my parents I used to joke about a ghost of a little kid in our house. I would wake up in the middle of the night with my bed shaking to the point I thought it was an earthquake I used to live in Southern California. I would also see a shadow run down the hallway, my two dogs would chase it like it was playing hide and go seek.
My parents never believed me, until about a month after I moved out. They were sitting in our dining room and the door in the kitchen that went to the garage swung open and slammed shut.
I gave it name just to be funny, so I always make a point to ask my mom how Oliver is doing every once in awhile. =]

As a teen I would spend my summers at an overnight girl scout camp teaching horseback riding. We lived in units of platform tents and as a riding inst I was considered a "sleeper." Well, one night I ended up sleeping by myself in the unit as the couselors had failed to tell me they were having a slumber party in the mess hall with some if the other units. At that point it was already dark and I was too tired to find out where they were so I just went to bed. Sometime in the middle of the night, I woke up and looked out the front of the tent to see a boy all ghostly white about 5 yo chase after a ball, bend down, pick it up and turn and look at me. I immedietly put my head phone on and pumped up the music. In another unit in that camp, I had something grab my shoulder once when I was ny myself. As soon as I came into view of other people it disappeared.
I have many more, including my aunt and 2 uncles visiting me before I even knew she had died in a house fire earlier that night.
Happy Halloween!!

That is terrifying! You're in a new, strange place and home alone... that does not sound fun. I would not be able to sleep. I don't have any stories myself, I think they're interesting to read though.
DH woke up in the middle of the night a few months ago... and saw someone in our room. He said he knew it wasn't a real person, but it was definately something. He watched it for a while until it freaked him out too much and he jumped out of bed and turned on the light. He swore it was a ghost and then told me that a lady died in the house before he bought it. I now can't fall asleep without the TV on and get scared when I have to get up in the middle of the night.. haha. He said he saw it one other time in the middle of the night a few weeks later.
On another note, the priest that married us is one of the very few exorsists in the US. We went to a talk he was giving about his experiences.. it was crazy! And a local news station interviewed him last night, and they said he was going to have audio from some. I need to look that up.. maybe I'll post it here if it's any good!
Well let's see...I'll try and tell you as many as I can remember. I've had things happen it me since I was a kid but it really picked up when I was about 11....this is gonna be long lol.
In My Mom's House:
...Shortly after we moved into the house when I was 11, I saw a little girl standing in the driveway. She was only there for a split second, but I could discribe her in detail.
...One night I was home alone. I was in my bedroom and I heard banging in the kitchen. I went to look and 3 of the kitchen cabinets were wide open.
...One day I was taking a shower and again I was home alone. Plain as day I heard a female voice say my name. I even answered but go no response. I thought my mom had come home. I got done with my shower, opened the bathroom door and said, "Mom are you home?"...Nothing. I was by myself.
...My Mom had a bunch of Dog and Cat knick knacks on shelves in the Family Room. They would randomly be turned sideways, and sometimes turned facing the wall. We were always fixing them.
Met DH and moved to a different city, 30 mins from my moms:
...One Night it felt like something furry was rubbing against my leg under the blanket. Looked, nothing was there.
...I was 8 months pregnant with DS and one night I felt DH sit up on the side of the bed. I kinda cracked my eye and watched him, more like the shadow of him since it was dark, walk around the foot of the bed, into our bathroom and close the door. This of course woke me up enough and I had to pee. I laid there for what seemed like forever waiting on him. I decided to go to the other bathroom and when I walked out of the bedroom, DH was standing in the kitchen. I was so confused. I said, "How did you get out here? Weren't you just in the bathroom?" he said, "No, I got up and came in here to get a drink". Apparently when I heard the bathroom door shut, it was really the bedroom door. Whatever walked past the foot of my bed and into the bathroom, wasn't him.
...After I had DS, he was about 2 months old and we had his crib in our room. We had a stuffed turtle that would sing if you pushed the foot and It was in the crib with him, at the opposite end, no where near him. In the middle of the night DH and I woke up to it going off. It freaked DH out so he took the batteries out. Toy malfunction? Maybe.
Visiting at my Moms:
...I was at my moms, the same house from the other stories, for the weekend. She had gone to the store so it was just DS and I. I took him into her room to change his diaper. As I was changing him I felt someone tap me 3 times, fast, on my shoulder. I jumped, spun around, nothing there.
...I was sitting on her couch the next day watching TV with my Mom. My mom said, "I just got REALLY cold out of no where." as she was saying that I felt something touch my hair.
We bought this house, we've been here 7 months:
...I was laying on the couch, DH was in the recliner and DS was in bed. All of a sudden DS' electric motorcycle thing went rolling across the living room. DH and I looked at each other and it just kept rolling...on carpet....until it bumped into the loveseat.
...DH had left for work and it was just me and DS. We live in the middle of the woods, no neighbors. All of a sudden I got woken up to what sounded like someone furiously pounding on my back door. Three super loud bangs. I jumped out of bed as the last bang happened, ran to the door, nothing. I looked all over outside. Nothing. DS slept right through it.
...It was just DS and I at home. I was putting clothes in the washing machine and all of a sudden I hear, very loud and clear, a muffled woman's voice say, "HELLO" in my kitchen...I jumped and screamed "hello?!?!" because I was so startled. DS heard it too because he started looking around.
I have a LOT more but this is already SUPER long. My Mom is convinced I had at least 1, if not more, "ghosts", "spirits", whatever, following me. And I believe it too.
I have one! I never believed in ghosts until this happened at my old office:
One morning I went to the bathroom and all the doors were locked from the inside. These stalls went all the way up to the ceiling, but there was only about a foot gap at the bottom. I figured someone was playing a practical joke and had to worm my way under the door to get it unlocked. Annoying, but I giggled a little. Until it started happening every. single. time. I went into the bathroom.
My coworkers (mostly younger females besides my mom and the owner) noticed as well and we decided we wanted to catch whoever was pulling this prank on us. We figured it was one of the guys in the warehouse. A friend and I came up with the idea to sprinkle baby powder all over the floor, and figured whoever did it would have baby powder all over themselves once they wiggled out from under the door (the only possible option to get out of the stall). We went in there, opened the doors, and sprinkled the baby powder. I had brought my phone in with me for whatever reason, and left it on this little ledge by the sink. I was literally four steps out of the bathroom, I remembered my phone, and turned back around to grab it. The doors has already been relocked.
It might sound silly, but it was the worst feeling of my entire life. I started sobbing, I was that scared. I refused to go back in that bathroom.
The owner has a medium come to our office because everyone was so freaked out by this. She didn't tell this lady anything at all about what had happened, but she identified that there was a spirit there that was a young woman. She said she was a prankster but harmless. She said her "energy" was most concentrated in the ladies bathroom.
How much would it suck to be a ghost and live in an office bathroom?
Finished BC and not preventing since June 2010.
Actively trying for baby #1 since July 2011.
SA completed 5/29/2012. No sperm found.
11/12: Dx: Congenital Bilateral Absense of the Vas Deferens.
Genetic Testing needed as this is a mutation of Cystic Fibrosis.
IVF #1 with ICSI planned for 2013.
PAIF/SAIF welcome!
