nope not alone. I am 40 and 11 weeks pregnant. I have a son who is 22 and a daughter who is 10. I dont think starting over will be as hard as we think. We are older and most of us have been married for a while (we have been married 10 years) so we know our parters pretty darn well and are settled in our jobs. My husband works full time and I am a stay at home mom plus I homeschool our daughter AND in the summer I train and show horses.... well since I am due in May I dont forsee much training and showing next year.
Welcome and feel free to ask anything. No doubting someone will have an answer.
Welcome to the board! I'm not quite 40 yet (38 in 2 weeks!), but my body is about 65. LOL
My great aunt-- who is now 102 and has been living in a barely assisted living community for the past 4 years only)-- had her only child when she was 42. That was back in the 50s. She rocked it then, and you can, too!
There are some really great women here who are incredible founts of knowledge and experience, as well as just being great support. You'll do well here, I know!
I turned 41 this summer & am pregnant again, but without the break between.
I can tell you that I was an only until I was out of the house and married - my sister is 20 yrs younger than I am - and we're friends now that she's an adult. What a blessing for both of your children, and for you.
Congrats! I am 41 and 17 wks pregnant starting all over again also. I kids are 20, 13, and 11 and I have a 1 yr old grandson. I am excited as well and we are looking forward to our new bundle of joy. Hopefully if baby cooperates tomorrow we will find out the gender so I can really start planning. I hate not knowing. Good luck and best wishes!
Not quite 40, I'm 38 but will be 39 by the time I have this one. My son is now 14 yrs. and I am 12wks pregnant. This is my husband's first so it's a nice change going through this all over again but very grateful with such a supportive DH this time around. It took us several years to finally get pregnant (together for 10 but married for 7 of those years) so this pregnancy is a nice surprise. Welcome to the board!
I'm 37 and starting over again. My kids are 18, 16, and 11 and 4 weeks pregnant. I've wanted another baby for a long time so I'm so excited, although I have to admit I did put a LOT of thought into the whole "starting over" aspect. Obviously, I felt like it was worth it. There are no words to describe how happy and excited I am :-) This is my first "planned" pregnancy :-)
Re: 40 and Pregnant after 22 years...Yikes! :)
Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
