HomeDiva made me think of this....Lincoln takes Kindermusik and his class does special activities, play dates, etc. Her class does not get as many special treats.
So, if you take a class (Little Gym, Gymboree, Kindermusik, etc.) what are the classes like? I have a special arrangement with the owner of the Kindermusik studio but I am always curious about other classes. Lincoln had a Gymboree birthday and the equipment was super fun!
I like Kindermusik because of its educational foundation (help with reading, writing, math, etc.) So what activities do you take your LO to? I would love for Lincoln to take something else come summer other than swim lessons. We have done Kindermusik since 2 months.

Re: Tell Me About Your Class
We don't currently do any classes.
We will probably consider a swimming class though!
Both girls have been in swim class since they were itty bitties. There is a different theme each week - last week, DD1's class were pirates, and DD2's were Charlie in the Chocolate factory.
That's the only classes we've got the girls signed up for at the time. Honestly, with DH and I working full time, and our family being 2 hours away, we don't have much time for classes. Also, DD2's daycare is pretty awesome and they have a music teacher come into each class once a week - The older kids also get ESL and Spanish lessons. How cool is that?
If the girls weren't in daycare, though, we would probably be doing more classes.
I'm going to be super sad when I go back to full time next fall and we don't have time for as much fun stuff anymore!!
We don't do any classes, all the ones I've looked into in our area seem very expensive! So we just stick to playground and free library playtime for now.
I do take her about once a week to my family's dance studio and let her run around, use the equipment, and play with the other kids that are between classes. She loves it! She will be starting preschool dance class next year, right after she turns two. That's one of the advantages to having a family that owns a studio, and my sister teaching the class - they'll make an exception and let her take class, even if she's not potty trained by that time.
We've done a bunch of classes with DS. We did Rockin' Railroad last Spring (really January - May) and he loved it. It's a music class with a 4 piece band, puppets, instruments, etc.
We did two Gymboree classes over the summer - music and play & learn. Play & learn was better for him because he's super active and just ran around the room during music.
Right now we are doing Free to Be Under 3, which I am mixed about, sometimes I love it and sometimes I am meh about it. We also do music with our playgroup once a week and have open play passes to Gymboree. I also did a Groupon for day passes to The Art Farm. It has a playroom indoor petting zoo and an arts and crafts room. DS loves it there.
We've taken sample classes at MY Gym too and NY Kids Club. Both were a lot of fun.
We live in Manhattan and there is SO much for DS to do. We try and take advantage of as much as possible!
OK, I'm totally jeals! I need to look into doing more!
