Re: 1st Tri Check in
I am so jealous of you! I wish I was 2nd trimester too!! I am getting ready to post a rant about progesterone levels and PTL. I've had a good US this week since my OB still hasn't been able to doppler a heartbeat. I've had weird pains on both sides of my lower abdomen/pelvic area, I don't think they're cramps but I'm nervous all the same.
I'm in the Midwest and we're actually under a fire watch. I hope everyone in the storms path is safe and sound!!

I'm in Pittsburgh, so mostly just rain and what seemed about 5min of strong winds. No powerloss, and my family in NYc, NJ, and Conn are okay thankfully

Update: Weekly u/s last Thursday went really well. We got an awesome picture, which I will shamelessly AW below. Headed back on Friday for another u/s. I was feeling pretty good as far as the m/s goes in the last week or so, but it seems to be coming back. Hopefully, it's a quick stay. Also been dealing with some headaches.
We survived the storm with little damage to us personally. Can't say the same about the rest of the state. No school yesterday or today and there is still no power where I teach, so we can't go back until they restore the power.
QOTW: I'll be going over the 2nd tri next week too, so I can't take over.
Shamless AW:
IVF #1 in August 2012: BFP!
L was born on May 5, 2013, 8lb. 6oz.
PAIF/SAIF welcome!
Our Project Make A Baby
I'll be moving on to 2nd tri as well. So excited to be at this milestone. I have an appt tomorrow morning and I can't wait to see how much this little bean has grown.
As for the storm, I live in Eastern NC and we faired pretty well. I was out of work yesterday and all of the schools in the the area were closed. We are about an hour from the coast and my family has a second home there. There was a lot of damage in that area. We aren't sure about our beach house yet.....roads are flooded we aren't able to get there to check on it. If anything, it has minimal flooding on the first level which only has a laundry room and storage closet. We feel very lucky and blessed as many people got hit a lot harder than we did. Praying for everyone who has been effected!

jmorta the shameless AW: that's an AWESOME sono pic!
I'm kind of new to this board....
I'm 10 weeks today.
QOTW: We're in Texas, so no weather to report. A bestie of mine lives in Tribeca and had to evacuate...so she's holed up in a hotel for a few days. She's got power where she is, and she's been texting me updates.
Just holding steady for the past couple of weeks. My doppler has been keeping me sane. I have an appt next week on Wed with my MFM for my CVS so I will be on pins and needles.
QOTW: I will be 12 weeks next week so hopefully will be moving on to 2nd tri after that!

Update: Hurricane Sandy keep me from getting my 24-hour urine collection to the lab yesterday (they are still closed), so I have to call tomorrow and find out what they want me to do. I assume I'll have to do it again. No other appointments until next week NT scan.
We lost power for about 12 hours last night, but it was back on sometime between 5 and 7 this morning. We have a work from home day today and I'm going to go out in a little bit to replace refrigerator food.

My Blog
I will also be moving to 2nd tri next week! Yay! After having appointments with my RE once/twice a week, I do not get another u/s until I visit the MFM on the 14th... I will try to maintain my sanity until then, which is especially hard to do when I was spotting and cramping yesterday (it has since stopped).
Hope everyone on the East Coast is safe and doing well. Being from Texas, I understand how scary hurricanes can be (Ike hit while we were on our honeymoon).

Update: I had my first MFM appt yesterday and got to see the babies again and I cant believe how much they grew in 3 weeks. I love my new dr.
We were really lucky with the storm and didnt lose power. My next door neighbor had a huge tree come down in his front lawn and it missed the power lines by inches.
I was really worried about the people in NJ and NYC who got it really bad. I saw that a lot of the hospitals generators were failing and at NYU hospital the nurses were carrying the NICU babies down 9 flights of stairs. I really hope everyone is ok. All I could think about was the people on life support and how needed the power to stay alive.
DX: PCOS/Recurrent losses/MTHFR mutation (compound hetero)

I am in LA so safe from Sandy but my thoughts are with all of you effected.
Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!
Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!
Doing well here, we have our 12 week appt next Monday and we're both excited to see the babies again. I'm starting to get that pregnant shape which I am excited about too!
I'm in Minnesota, so no storms here but everyone on the east coast is definitely in my thoughts. My dad was in DC for the storm and I got to talk to him today, he told me 'of course I wouldn't let Sandy get me down, I've got 2 little grandbabies to think of.'
Had NT scan last Friday. LO is nice, lively, and measuring ahead of schedule (12w6d @ 12 week mark). HB was 158 bpm.
The tech strongly suggested that I go and do the 1-hour glucola test early, since my family has a history of diabetes. I told her that I had just eaten a granola bar about 15 minutes before the appt. that would likely mess w/ my numbers, but they sent me to the lab anyway, saying that such a small snack bar shouldn't mess with my results THAT much, and better safe than sorry. Needless to say, I failed.
and had to go back for the 3-hour test today. Still waiting for the results, but I hope with all my might that I pass!
QOTW: I'm just days behind Gregermis in heading to 2nd tri, so I can't take over the 1st check-in either. :P Sorry.
Married June 2007, TTC since May 2010. Me=40, age-related infertility, DOR, low prog, low AMH. DH=37,low morph.

Surprise BFP while deciding next steps! EDD: 5/10/13
I'm just 6 weeks 7 in Friday. First ultrasound Friday. I think I will feel better then, but then again, I thought I would feel better after each beta too. My symptoms all went away, except. Crazy dreams and increased sense of smell. I just don't know how I feel anymore! I forgot about Halloween! I have been so focused on all of this!
As for Sandy we just had some really strong wind here in South Carolina we were very lucky. Thinking about those that were! Be safe!
You are right behind me! I read your siggy, you have had an adventure too I see. I would welcome worrying about a wiggly little one! I would trade that any day over worrying if it sticks! Friday can't get here fast enough!
