Nausea? — The Bump
Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Nausea?

I am on day 8 of a miscarriage (I was 6.5-7 weeks) and am still feeling pretty nauseous at times.  Is this common?  I'm ready to stop feeling pregnant, it really just adds insult to injury.

Re: Nausea?

  • Sorry for your loss.

After a miscarriage it takes time for your HCG to drop. It took about 4 weeks for all of my pregnancy symptoms to go away.

Is your Dr. Monitoring your HCG's until they hit below 5?

I have a follow up next week (day after my birthday, yay), and what I surmise based on the brief conversation I had with the midwife last week, they will test my levels one more time.  I guess they were already pretty low the day I started bleeding, so maybe they figure it should be done by then.

  • I had terrible nausea last night. I couldn't eat anything. It takes awhile for your HCG levels to go down.
