Well, much better to sing Grease songs that having in mind the mean secretary I have encountered in my department. Now that you mentioned Grease, my brain will totally switch gears:)
Stay safe East Coast ladies! My dissertation is on hurricanes, and I do love exploring them, but I am scared when they approach the coast. I would take all the preventative measures that I could.

We survived in Nothern Connecticut. Didn't even lost power. It was a rather disappointing storm in my town. Lots of wind, little rain, very few trees down and power outages. The other end of the state on the shore is a very different story.
Well that was our 1st hurricane and it was rather scary at times. We lost power around 7pm yesterday and still don't have power. We packed the kids and are at my sisters house being that we may not have power for a couple of days.
I'm glad we're safe, but pray for the families less fortunate. Some of my neighbors weren't as fortunate. There are huge trees down. We've never witness this type of damage up close.
It's more of a mess to clean up in our yard, but that's the least of my worries.
We did just fine in our town in Northwestern NJ, but basically everyone else in our county lost power from the high winds/downed trees. The only good thing about Sandy (compared to Irene last year) was that we didn't get the amount of rainfall and didn't get the flooding inland. The coast, however, wasn't spared like we were.
Honestly, seeing NYC lose power from the 40s South was freaky. Lower Manhattan was underwater. Tunnels are flooded. Much of the Jersey Shore is GONE. "Superstorm" Sandy was an evil B!TCH and literally MILLIONS of people in NJ, NY and CT are without power.

Yes she was. I just found out we may not have power until Novermber 6th!
And if the Jersey Shore is gone... does that mean they'll get rid of that awful show with Snookums and Company??? Surely they can't go on if all the tanning salons are without power, right?
(Sorry.. lightening the mood!)

Glad to hear that everyone is doing good!! The damage can be cleaned up, houses/property can be rebuilt, lives are the important thing.
And also on a good note about not having power, you get to not have to listen to the final push political ads and pandering before the election!!!
