Here is $1,000 for your kitchen. What would you buy? An appliance, new knives, new floor, fancy gadgets?

And GO!

Re: $1000 for your Kitchen

  • I'm in a rental, so even though the house is only 5 years old, the appliances are pathetic. Plus, the trend in my area is electric stoves. kill me now. i hate electric stoves. so, with my grand i would buy a GAS stove and the fairies would do a happy dance.

  • $400 for a new backsplash.

$8 for a new pastry brush.

$200 for new stove burner grates.

And the rest for reorganizing my pantry, maybe adding some fun wallpaper for the wall of the pantry.

  • I think $1000 would get me new cabinet doors with fancy pulls and handles. If there's any money left, I'll get new flooring too. My kitchen is teeny (like 50 sq ft) so changing the floor won't cost much.

Also? I might take a little money off that 1000 bucks and go get my hair done. Just because. lol

  • I just redid my kitchen about 2 years ago and love it.  Other than my kitchen table.  So I would def get a new one of those and maybe new knifes.

  • The ONLY thing that I can think of because we've replaced everything else is new pots and pans.  So I'm spending every last penny on the best pots and pans.

  • Hmm, this is tough. Even though we've lived here five years, the kitchen must had had a pretty recent renovation right before we moved in.  Cabinets are in decent shape, appliances look nice and function great. My only complaint is that while I love the tile floor, someone (previous owners) must have dropped something heavy on it and cracked on tile in the middle. I don't think it's possible to repair or replace just one tile without redoing the whole floor, so maybe that's what I would do.

Can I take this $1000 and do the small master bathroom instead?  That bathroom is so sad and gross that I don't think I've been in there in over a year...true story.
