We are looking for a beginner Sippy cup with two handles for our 6 month old. Something that won't spill or leak and that has a soft enough mouthpiece that he ca chew on.
take this with a grain of salt, but i'm not going to do a sippy cup with LO. i have a speech pathologist friend who rants and raves against them, something about tongue thrust i think -- that coupled with the plastic part is enough for me to give it a go without one. could also be that my mom said i just went straight to a regular cup when i was around a year old. though i do guarantee it was plastic, being the '70s and all. i'm thinking stainless steel for my LO's first cup.

We use stainless steel sippy cups with no plastic (from Pura). They don't have handles though.
