Hey ladies! We've started getting some super blustery winds and some rain here - our schools even closed early today. I'm making potato and leek soup to keep us warm tonight (it smells amazing), and we have our flashlights and candles ready. My son has collected all of his board games, coloring books, crayons, and puzzles in case the power goes out.
Please let me know you're all okay - when you have the time, if you have power. Thinking of all of you. Stay safe everyone!

I'm here (but judging from the sounds of it, not for too much longer!). The wind is kicking up and now they are prediciting 80MPH winds tonight at times.

H went to work in the city and probably won't be home until Wednesday night. He's a cop. I packed up DD and the dog and came to stay with my parents, who still have power. We're about a half hour outside of NYC, and according to the news, wind gusts are around 50 right now, going up to 80 later. Honestly, it already seems like it's being overhyped, as was expected.

I am in the eastern panhandle of WV and it's starting to get really windy here. It's been raining for two days.. I grew up ten minutes from Atlantic City and all of my family and friends are there. My brother has already lost his home to flooding. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as the storm has just made landfall in Atlantic City. My stomach is in knots for them.

CT here too. Lots of wind gusts, and some rain. I'm right in central CT, so no flooding issues. The coast is a mess. We've been eating party leftovers and anything perishable, which is not the healthiest, but it's yummy. I ate some of the veggie platter. That counts, right?
Tomorrow should be back to work as usual. I took Wednesday off as it is our anniversary, and we usually have a huge Halloween display for the TOTers. Hopefully we can put up a few things and get some kids. We were SO disappointed last year.
I live in Ontario Canada and we have severe wind and weather warnings as we have had a storm lingering around for the past few days and it is supposed to meet with Sandy tonight and cause some wind damage. It has been raining all day and the wind is blowing now, but power is still on. I have been watching CNN all day and my T and P are with all those who will get the brunt of the storm.
