sick, now the hurricane- cabin fever remedies?

hey!  my daughter who is 2 has been in this house for a week- besides going to the doctors and a walk to the store 2 times- now the hurricane is coming and we are in the path for it.  School will be cancelled tomorrow and she is on the mend- has had a viral cough now for a few weeks and she is starting to get better- per the doctor her lungs and everything sound ok.

SO...any creative ideas?  I think I have used up all mine and maybe you all have some good ideas- husband is home too so we are one big happy family in our small rowhome!!  :) HA

thanks-

  • Pinterest has lots of great ideas.  I picked up new finger paints, crayons, and coloring books.  I also picked up new magnets.  I plan to make playdough, read stories, make a fort, and sing and dance.  I pulled out the colored pasta we made over the summer.  DS loves sorting those in muffin pans.  Glad your DD is feeling better.  Good luck with the storm!

  • Over the weekend we finger painted, organized all DS toys which he enjoys b/c we find stuff he forgets about,  make a tent in the living room with blankets and pillows....DS really enjoys that.

  • We decorated pumpkins this weekend. I let DD loose with paint, glitter, glue, markers, and stickers. Kept her interest for a while decorating the pumpkins, then she went back several times during the day to check on her pumpkins. What about simple games like hide and seek?
