Hurricane Sandy= Sleepover at grandma's

I work 30 min South from my home. And LO is at my aunts down the street from my work. They have declared a state of emergency and 60mph winds and heavy rainfall to hit right as i'm leaving work. Luckily my mom and aunt live next to eachother so me and DS are spending the night at Grandma's. I'm 30 years old and still feel safe when i'm with my own mother.

DH is pumped to sit at home and watch movies all night as long as the power is still on.

I was considering packing up and going to stay with my parents and siblings for the same reasons. Something about being with my family just seems safer! But they live like, seven minutes away, and there's no actual advantage to going there. So we're just hunkering down at home. Stay safe!!
