(NBR) Cajun Christmas gift ideas

in October 2011 Moms

My family is HUGE so we draw names with adults buying for adults and children buying for children. To add to the fun, we play Cajun Christmas (some of y'all may call it Dirty Santa or White Elephant) and everyone brings another random gift (not to exceed $25). I am really struggling to come up with ideas for the 2 gifts we have to bring this year. Any ideas???

Here are some helpful tidbits for any of y'all willing to brainstorm for me:

-my family drinks

-my family is not easily offended so goofy gift ideas welcome

-my family eats and cooks a lot

-my family is very "Southern" and some are a little "country"

    We used to play "dirty bingo" at an old job and the most popular gifts were beer and lottery tickets - everyone fought over them. So maybe a case of beer and a few scratch offs?

    Wrap up the blue thong that was floating around in the Oct group. They might not understand but get a pic of the look on their face when it gets opened and post it so we can have a laugh.....hehe

    Love this idea but someone did it least year so we need to wait at least another year before we do it again. We've been playing this a long time so we do tend to repeat gifts but try to space it out some. Thanks!

    Dude - that's MY thong.  I'm going to eventually want it back so I can frame it and stuff.

    Get your panties unwadded. I would send it back... after I let my whole family take a turn with it! Stick out tongue

    Nobody plays along in our family but MH and I always try to buy someone an extra dirty gift and we write from Grandma on it! Tee hee hee.

    1. Get two black leather dog collars and connect them with some chain, this is good for a couples gift.Wink
    2. Have a calendar printed of just pictures of you.  Or print a calendar of your family drinking.
    3. Pet rocks
    4. Chia pet
    5. Buy some Wild Turkey and decorate the bottle with feathers

    Someone bought a chia pet a few years ago and it was great! I like the Wild Turkey idea and decorating it with feathers. Getting turkey feathers is not a problem around here!

    I know this sounds crazy probably but last year DH and I took a medium-sized rolling travel bag as one gift and 2 Ralph Lauren bed pillows as the other (all came from a great black Friday sale) and my family were fighting over them! Other popular non-alcoholic and lottery ticket gifts that were hits have been: corning ware, a waffle maker, a wet vac, a dust buster, gift certificates to popular local restaurants, and nice wine glasses.
