Hello everyone... I confess I have been lurking for quite a while... I felt like it was helping enough just reading some of the posts... Some of you are so kind and thoughtful to one another and it was nice just reading. But after 9 months of trying I decided that maybe it would be great to become a part of the group of people going through the same situation... So here I am... out I hiding I guess you would say...
I am in my mid 20's and and married to my best friend... We are going on 9 months this month TTC and this TTC concept is not at all what I thought it would be... Every month that goes by seems to just make the dream of having a little one further and further out of reach... Everything seems normal... Regular cycles and such, yet each month passes without the BFP.
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to say hello. Everyone have a great Monday!!!

Have you thought about charting? It's really not difficult and can give you loads of info about your cycle. It could also be helpful if you hit the year mark, since some doctors recommend charting a few cycles before starting testing. Starting now could put you ahead of the game.
GL, I hope your stay is short.

I guess first off when you say charting do you just mean basically tracking on a calender and beginning with CD1 and continuing through the end of the cycle and noting various things that happen through the month?
Because if so I started charting when we first decided to try to get an idea of what my cycles were really like on a month to month basis... I have done ovulation tests for 4 cycles with consistent results... Thank you so much for the info I really appreciate it.
No kidding!!! : )
No, charting is different than tracking your periods. It is really simple and involves taking your temperature every morning with a BBT. Check out www.fertilityfriend.com. It is free and you will learn a lot. While OPK's are helpful, they only detect that you are gearing up to ovulate, while temping actually confirms it. With temping and using OPK's you can have a much better idea about how well you are timing things. Welcome and GL to you!
