So I had my baby shower on Sunday and it was amazing. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful mom and aunt who pulled it all together. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time!!

Highlights:

-my family got together and got me ALL of my nursery furniture! Sweet.

-My grandma made me a quilt with princesses, and castles and DRAGONS (sorry I just LOVE dragons! lol)

-And my amazing cousin found a Cabbage patch kid. (I didn't even know they existed still!!) But this cabbage patch kid has the same name as my LO. Apparently she looked for weeks to find this doll!!

-And we got tons of clothes in LOTS of different sizes, which is really good cuz then I have enough clothes for the year likely, well a good start anyways.

 So now after this shower the only thing that I NEED before baby gets here is cloth diapers, which my mom is doing as a combined shower/Christmas present so I'll be getting those in December. And I need a car seat. I figure everything else I can buy as the baby gets older as we determine her needs.

    I am glad that you had a nice shower!!  Mine was fabulous - great food, amazing decorations and it was so nice to be surrounded by friends and family.  We got tons of gifts and ended up with a lot of the big items we needed off of our registry (Car seats, RNPs, PNP, etc).  There are still plenty of things that we are going to need to buy, but we knew having twins would be expensive!  Unfortunately, I could barely walk last night due to hip pain after being on my feet in heels all day.  We are stuck inside due to a hurricane today so I plan to rest up as much as possible.
    DX: Anovulation
    TX: IUI #1-4 = BFN + 1 c/p
    IUI #5: Clomid 100mg + Bravelle + Trigger + B2B IUIs + 800mg Progesterone = BFP!

    boo to hurricane :p. We are not getting it super bad cuz I live in Ontario but we are getting some good rain.

    MFI due to retrograde ejaculation/azoospermia.
    5/2 IVF #1 cancelled due to large follie.
    6/14 start Lupron for IVF #1.2. 6/22 start stims.
    7/4 ER and Biopsy.
    7/9 Transferred 2 (1-4BB and 1-3BB) embryos.  4 frosties.
    7/15 +HPT 6dp5dt. 7/18 Beta #1: 193. 7/20 Beta #2: 415.
    8/10 1st u/s - It's triplets!

    Sounds like you had an amazing day. I had mine on Sunday too and I cried as I was thanking everyone for coming and being so generous. Family and friends are wonderful to have.

    Ya I was pretty close to tears too at my shower. With all the IF struggles we all have I feel like a baby shower just means so much more!

    Just a PSA, the cloth diaper board ladies have mentioned that there are always some really good Black Friday deals on cloth diapers. If you don't already lurk over there, it sounds like you can save a pile of $ by waiting and pulling the trigger on sale day.

    Me-36, Unexplained Infertility, DH-35, all clear
    Clomid 50mg 12/2011 = BFN
    Clomid 100mg 1/2012 = BFN, with Cyst
    IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    Sounds like a really amazing shower! My friend's dad actually works for Hasbro (who make Cabbage Patch) and he gets to pick names for them occasionally. So, needless to say, my friend, her sibling and cousins all have a cabbage patch doll named after them.
