What will you do? I have a 2 1/2 & 4 year old and this will be only their 2nd time going. We live out in the country so we have to drive to a neighborhood (only @ 10 min away). But right now it looks like its going to be cold
@37 and rainy. As a parent I want to say there is no way we are going (they never eat much of the candy anyways) but I feel bad because I know how excited they are and how much thought they put into their costumes (and yes the remember it all from last year). What does your family do? And no our town is not postponing it & unfortanetly the local nursing homes just did their trick or treat over the weekend and we weren't able to go.

Bundle up, bring and umbrella and have fun!!! It's suppose to rain here as well, but my dd has the whole Halloween thing figured out, so we'll have to go out to a few houses.
It's always cold here for Halloween, kids usually have winter coats on over their costumes, its part of it, I guess.

I live in Seattle so if we didn't go out in the rain we would never leave the house. If you have the right clothing then rain is not a problem. We just did the pumpkin patch in the rain and the kids had a blast. We all had on coats with hoods and boots and then we came home and had hot chocolate.
Growing up I can't remember many halloweens when we didn't have to wear coats over our costumes. I also think rain really bugs adults more than kids, if they are covered and bundled I would totally let them go to a few houses at least. Is there a town that is doing trick or treating in an area with retail? Since our kids are small we are going to a small downtown festival and most of the sidewalks have awnings so we probably won't be out in the weather too much.
Good luck!
I live in Seattle - if we stayed inside every time it was cold and rainy, we'd never go outside. I'd adjust costumes so they can be warm and (moderately) dry, not go out for too long (depends on how much it's raining - at least 10 minutes, probably not more than than 30), and have a change of clothes in the car.
ETA: I just saw the wind issue - that I would cancel for. That could be incredibly dangerous, not just uncomfortable.
