  I would do it the day after Christmas but DH loves the decorations and makes me wait until after his birthday, Jan 7th.

  Growing up, we always decorated the day after Thanksgiving & kept the tree & everything up until Epiphany (Jan 6th).

  Now, it depends on when our family get togethers occur, which could go into the 2nd week of January.  Typically never later than that though.

  I did have a bad year once, and didn't take them down until Valentine's Day. Oops.
