I recently upgraded from an Android to an iPhone. I liked my droid but I think the iPhone is better. It is less buggy- my droid used to freeze on me and turn on and off by itself sometimes. I also have a Mac at home so now I can link my phone and computer easily.

Just got the iphone5 and love it. If you have other apple products like an iPad or iPod touch, it will be an easy transition to the iPhone since they are all similar
I just upgraded from a droid to an iphone5. I miss my droid. I think some apps are fun or neat but I don't like the basic phone functions as well on the iPhone. I hate how the text messages are little word bubbles instead of individual messages that display date and time of each message and are lockable individually. I loved how I could put short cut buttons on the main screen of my droid phone to directly call or text a given person. Now I can save certain contacts to favorites for phone calls but it's not the same one button push for calling or sending a text to a specific person. The camera is much better, faster to respond, so I do like that for photoing babies.
lol see this is why I love the iPhone....I don't have to look through 50 pages of messages. All messages from a single user get put all together but ur right, there is no time/date stamp

Stacie, whoever you're texting must have the "read receipts" on. It's optional. Mine is shut off, so nobody can tell when I read their texts. But a few of my friends have them turned on.. so I can tell when they read mine!
I have and iPhone4. Love it. I had a 3G before this one. My sister has a droid and has been through several phone and has had lots of issues. Several of my computer/engineering friends have mostly switched from droids to iPhones because the iPhone functionality are better and more reliable.
I also have date and time stamps on my text messages to show when they were sent. I do not have the read receipt turned on.
