Trader Joe's Fail

Apparently I should have reread the post from early Sept about what to buy at Trader Joe's. I stopped in today just to see what they had and I was a little overwhelmed since I didn't really know what to look for.

I bought some wine and chocolate. That's it. 

Then I went back and looked at all the deliciousness that was listed in the thread. ::Hangs head in shame.::

Oh, and I didn't think I was a wine snob, but apparently I am. That $3 Charles Shaw tastes like church wine to me. 

Trader Joe, I will be back! And I will leave victorious next time.

    Oh sad...I'm sorry your Trader Joes stop wasn't up to par :(  I always make a list and try one or two new things each trip, because it still overwhelms me!!

     Last week I got their pumpkin pancake/waffle mix..super good!

    The trick to 2buck chuck is to look at the bottles and figure out which ones come from which Ca  winery you could get a decent Mondavi or a cheap Fanzia or anything in between sine it is all relaled overstock.

    Skip the $2 chuck all together.  It's true sometimes you get a good bottle, but why take the risk when they have so many tasty wines under $5?

    I don't drink a lot of wine but when I do I have a friend who makes his own wine.  (good and free)  You just have to give him the bottles back.

    At TJ's I buy Orange chicken, pizza dough, naan, and hummus.

    Wow!! I still can't believe that you can get a bottle of wine for 5... Much less for 2! That is crazy! Our cheap wines are 14 a bottle...
