Swollen Feet??

Swollen Feet??

Hi ladies! I'm a week out and my feet and ankles are SO SWOLLEN that I can't get shoes on. Like, not even flip flops. This has never happened to me, not even during my pregnancy. They blew up the day I was leaving the hospital and won't go down no matter what I do, even putting them up. Any ideas or suggestions on what I can do?

Re: Swollen Feet??

  • My feet swelled up a few days after I left the hospital, I couldn't wear flip flops either.  My doctor said they swelled up due to the IV.  I didn't have any swelling while pregnant either.

I think it took about a 4 - 5 days for them to go down completely.

  • Same thing goin on here. I even saw the doctor because she was concerned with how bad it is. She wants me to let her know next week how the swelling is going and if still not down she's going to look into other testing. Either way she said its because of all the fluids they pump you with.

  • It took about a week for mine to go down. I even had to wear DH's socks because mine didn't fit!

  • Drink lots of water and keep them elevated as much as you can.  Mine went away after a week and a half.
