I never thought I'd be saying this but.. now I suddenly don't miss the mass exodous to facebook quite so much, it seems to have reduced the intellectual level by about 20 years.

I thought this childish *** was left to other boards and their initiations for new members... if FB got that boring you have to pull crap on other boards.. maybe you should rethink your facebook group or rejoin you boards as active members.

Good morning all, I'd say hi and wb to our old March mommas...but I'm not much for lying .. so I will say nice to see some old names and you can make of that what you wish.

I'll be back when the babies get bored and go back to napping. Cool

Agreed. I'd love if some old regs started contributing again, and I love when they check in, but I wish they'd leave the drama on Facebook. Coming over here and disrupting our board is just rude.

The one thing I miss about this froum over my old one is.. I'm not a bloody moderator lol. I was chief mod with owner priveleges on a board with thousands of members ...and it soon cut out the drama and BS from the miinority

I miss my old spanky gif... LOL All I had to do was post the animated pic of my big wooden club with spikes slapping on a hand..and all was suddenly well with the world.

hope everyone's ok - took LO to visit grandparents - he did great on both flights though his jet lag coming back to england has been terrible.

How is jolly old England this morning? we plan to take LO there one day when finances are a bit more stable.. can't wait to show him the beaches and all the other cool stuff like castles etc ... and I know all my family are dying to meet the munchkin. My mom is coming over for his first Christmas so that should be interesting

This is exactly how I feel. I was out last night and missed the crazycakes, but skimming it this morning took me back to some of the drama-filled posts that happened from time to time during our pregnancies. No thank you! This is one of the many reasons I stayed on TB, to avoid the madness that I was pretty sure would ensue with FB.

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope everyone is having a good morning! DS slept until 7:30, which felt glorious after a week of crazily interrupted sleep and waking between 5 and 6.

It was amazing. I cannot lie. Especially because we'd been dealing with the 8 month wakeful (WTF?!? I didn't even know that existed until this week!!!) and he'd been up early in addition to being awake for an hour or more during the night. He's been sleeping well the last 2 nights so I'm hoping it's over.

Wipz, it's COLD! It was like late summer/early Autumn in MD when we left on Tuesday but we arrived to find England is already in Winter. It is 6C outside. That is the high for today. NE England has a snow warning and Scotland already has some snow!

It's bittersweet, I miss my mom and brother...I am happy to be back though, especially with all the warnings about Hurricane Sandy!

I think my mom is a bit worried the weather might interrupt her flights.. shw will be flying down from Scotland to London then to TX.. hopeully all will be ok and she wont have any interruptions, but she is coming in mid December so no matter what happens... I am pretty sure she will make it for Xmas

Believe me, I'd much have rather had whoever it was leave it on FB, too.

But I also think it's silly to feel like you own a forum board. Those of us who were on TTGP know very well that no one "owns" a board and you can't stop things you don't like. I personally don't like the vibe that this board has developed. I like and have missed some of you guys and I'm sure some of the newer people are nice, too. But I've missed the March board and when I've been back it's been kind of a sad shell of itself. I hope that maybe it will pick up and be more fun again.

Which is if people want to contribute they do so without the needless drama. But, if people want to bring drama, I'll just ignore it and try to seek out the other posts. I'm glad you post here still, Psych. :] It would be nice if some of the old regs started posting here again.

I don't think anyone is trying to own the board. However I do think some people find what happened last night intrusive. It was like a bunch of teenagers busting into a room with a bunch of drama.

I wouldn't mind if the board picked up a little but I very much dislike what happened last night.

I hope you know I wasn't trying to attack you! I like you! I just responded to your post because it was the one I noticed where you said you wished the drama would stay on FB. And I agree totally! I also wish more of the regs posted. I guess what I meant is not that I hope that people bring drama, just that there would be more posting. To me, it feels kind of dead.

And I always did enjoy a little AE drama now and again (as long as it isn't every day).
