Help us name our daughter!
Hello! I would love your opinions. My husband and I are expected a daughter in March. We currently have a son named Tyson John (John is a family name on my husband's side). We have two girl names we like and are having troubles deciding. They are:
Ella Marie
Nina Marie
Marie is a family name on my side so the middle name is set.
Which do you prefer? Any new suggestions are welcomed as well. TIA!

I like Elle better than Ella, but I prefer Ella over Nina
Nina Marie makes me think, Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria (but I might just be weird
)
I think both are very nice names. I prefer Nina because not as trendy/popular as Ella is right now....though, like PP, I did immediately think, "Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria" when I saw Nina Marie. But, that's a stretch, even though I did it!!
You can't go wrong though:)
I was going to say Nina over Ella b/c Ella is so popular lately, but now I'm thinking Nina Maria and 1492.
Maybe choose a longer first name from which Nina could be the nn?
I lean towards Nina Marie.
I didn't think of the ships until I saw other posters comments and people will rarely call her by her full name. Just don't name the next kid Pinta Santa.
