Lately, as soon as I put DD on the changing table she starts arching her back and screaming. She did something like this before (I think I mentioned it once) but now she's arching so much that one time she pushed herself almost completely off the table. I mean I had to grab her by her legs and her head and half her torso was dangling off the table! :O
Anybody else, any tips?? Do I try to correct this behavior? I mean I don't even know what the issue is so I don't know if the word NO would be correct to apply here... I'm kind of stumped
TIA!
Re: Changing freakout :/
Ah ... Must be another phase... I, too give her the wipes or a clean diaper and she'll play with that. But sometimes nothing works
And the floor is sometimes even worse because she then just wants to roll around naked. LOL
We've been doing this for a while now. My only luck is if she's in a good mood I can offer her a choice between two small toys (just giving her a toy doesn't cut it - she needs to be in control!). If she's not in a good mood... well, then forget it.
I've been trying to talk her through her freakouts, hoping she'll eventually understand. So I say "DD, I have to change your diaper. DD, I know you're mad, but we have to change your diaper." in a calm voice... nothing yet, but at least I feel more in control and less like I'm the worst Momma ever.
